VHS
The largest accepted format—roughly the size of a paperback book. Look for VHS, T-120 or T-160.

Identify Your VHS and Camcorder Tapes
Compare the size, shape and printed label. If you are still unsure, send a clear photo showing the front of the tape.
VHS-C
A much smaller compact VHS camcorder tape. Look for the VHS-C logo or labels such as TC-20, TC-30 or TC-40.
MiniDV
A very small cassette used in digital camcorders. It is usually labeled MiniDV, DV or DVC.
Video8
A compact 8mm cassette with two reel windows. Look for Video8, 8mm or a large “8.”
Hi8
The same size as Video8. Look for Hi8, Hi8 MP or Hi8 ME printed on the tape or case.
